Corene Hicks passed away April 14, 2002, at Selby Hospital,
Marietta.
She was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Thomas and Verna
Jarvis.
She is survived by five daughters, Gladys Forshey and her husband, Dale, of
Waverly, Janice Lowther and her husband, Bob, of Waverly, Glennis Blevins
and her husband, Curt, of Akron, Ohio, Dorothy Duncan, and her husband,
Curt, of Akron, Ann Davis and her husband, John, of Waverly; one son, Dallas
Jarvis and his wife, Wilma of Rudolph, Ohio; her good friend Pete Harness; 22
grandchildren; and many great and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Hicks; two sons, Charles
Hicks and Eugene Hicks; one grandson, Roger Hicks; and longtime
companion, Ingle Hendershot.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at
Ruttencutter-Ingram Funeral Home, St. Marys, with Randy Stewart officiating.
Burial in Willow Island Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
Tuesday at the funeral home.
