The Gathering begins on Friday evening, September 3 at about 6:00 p.m. and will continue through Sunday afternoon .
Rustic campsites are available. The exact location is 316 Sugar Camp Road, just off I-77 at the Mineral Wells Exit. The activity will be behind the fourth residence on the right on Sugar Camp Road.
Attendees should bring their own lawn chairs but there will be a huge tent for shelter from the sun. The admission is free but donations are appreciated. There will be concessions by the Parkersburg South Band Boosters.
The Gathering will feature most of the musicians who performed at the Stonewall Jackson Jubilee for many years. Some of the notable names in attendance will be,
Dave Bing, Bobby Taylor, John Lilly, Pete Kosky, Ginny Hawker/Tracy Schwarz, The Samples Brothers Band, the Poteen Band, Buddy Griffin, David ODell, and many, many more of West Virginia's finest traditional musicians.
The weather forecast predicts a beautiful, cool weekend, ideal for some late night picking. It should be three days of folk music, food, and family friendly fun.
