Patsy Gay Bush, 47, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010, in the Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
She was born March 21, 1963, in Spencer, a daughter of of the late Dempsey Wetzel and Nellie Louise Willard Sleath. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Dempsey Wetzel Sleath, Jr., and a sister, Mary Ellen Harper.
Patsy was a homemaker and a member of the Steele Hollow Community Church.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Richard; son, Michael James Matheny of Spencer; daughters, Crystal Burgess of Spencer and Tasha Pulliam of Jackson County; step-children, Richard Bush, Jr., Ramona Hodkins, and Allen Eugene Bush, all of Spencer; sister, Leslie Oplander of Walton; brother, Fred Sleath of KY; and nine grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 5, 2010, at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Jack Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Hodam Cemetery, Spencer.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Saturday.
