| Ida Jane Drake, 91, of Newton, West Virginia, died Monday, August 31, 2010, in the CAMC - General Hospital, Charleston.
She was born April 1, 1919 in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Calvin Elijah and Belle Nicholas Parsons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maxell Drake; one brother and one sister.
Mrs. Drake was a homemaker, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed quilting and gardening.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Merrill Drake of Newton; two grandsons, Michael Thomas Drake of Newton and Timothy Maxell Drake of Elkview.
A funeral service will be held Friday, September 3 at 11:00 a.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Rick Metheney officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Hill Cemetery, Elana.
Friends may call Friday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
