| Betty Jean Knight Kendall, 74, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed peacefully into eternity Thursday, August 19, at Minnie Hamilton Health System, Grantsville.
She was born January 29, 1936 on Pine Creek to Chester C. Knight and Virginia Ruth Stump Knight. She was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother and her parents.
Betty is survived by five children: Gary Knight (Rose) of Grantsville, Phyllis Mineff (Greg) of Rockford, Illinois, Susan Newell (Michael) of Annamoriah, Pamela Thomas (Ben) of Bluefield, and Charles "Chuck" Kendall (Crystal) of Grantsville.
Betty was the proud grandmother of thirteen grandchildren, Graham Knight (Grantsville), Sherry Yoak (Rockford, Illinois) Angela Owens (Washington D.C.), Kristi Anderson (Rockford, Illinois), Crystal Bell (Grantsville), Kelli Bell (Glenville), Erica Newell (Annamoriah), Joshua Bohn (Grantsville), Billy Bohn (Bluefield), Phillip Parsons (Charleston, WV), Chucky, Danielle and Christopher Kendall (Grantsville). There are ten great grandchildren.
Betty attended the New Testament Baptist Church of Big Springs and had given her life to Christ.
In accordance with her wishes, Betty will be cremated and interred at the gravesite with her grandmother, Laura M. Kelley, at Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation for friends and family will be held from 11:00 a.m. with memorial service at noon Saturday, August 28, at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. Reverends Kevin Church and Matt Morrison will conduct services.
