A fireman's funeral in Elizabeth today honored a well-known firemen from the community.
A large number of mourners attended the service honoring John Wayne Starcher, 39, held at the Elizabeth-Wirt fire station this morning.
Starcher, a department member for 13 years, died in a car crash Sunday.
Dozens of area fire department members and fire apparatus were part of a long funeral procession that circled down State Route 14 to the Merrill Chapel Cemetery near the Wood County line.
