Velma Kathryn Moore, 87, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Aug. 6, 2010, at St. Joseph's Hospital.
She was born Dec. 9, 1922 in Grantsville, W.Va., a daughter of the late Roma A. and Bessie Prunty Harden. She was a graduate of Calhoun County High School and retired as a cashier from St. Joseph's Hospital. Velma was a member of South Parkersburg United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Saundra K. Rhodes, of Ripley, W.Va.; a grandson, Keith Rhodes and wife, Kim, of Ripley, W.Va.; a great-granddaughter, Katie Rhodes; a sister, Lorena Wilkinson, of Byesville, Ohio; two brothers, Roma A. Harden, Jr. of Canton, Ohio and John C. Harden of Chicago, Ill.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.
A graveside memorial service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Jackson Memory Gardens with Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, Parkersburg, W.Va.
