Harold Warren Storicks, age 77, of Alum Bridge, West Virginia and Lake Placid, Florida departed this life Saturday August 7, 2010 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center as a result of multiple injuries sustained from an auto vehicle accident in Pennsylvania.
He was born July 25, 1933 in New Jersey, son of the late Walter Henry and Ella Clayton Gross Storicks.
Harold was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, and retired from DuPont as a supervisor of underground operations. He enjoyed collecting antiques, including clocks and guns, he loved going to flee markets, and especially enjoyed antique gas engines. Harold was a member of the Roosters in Florida and was a Baptist by faith.
He was united in marriage to Esther Mae Bateman, January 31, 1953, who preceded him in death February 21, 2008.
Surviving are 1 son, Harold Wayne Storicks of Phoenix AZ; 1 daughter, Lynn Lowther of Linn WV; 3 grandchildren, Brandon Leady of Washington State, Kevin Leady and wife Amber of Whispering Pines NC, and Kristin Stalnaker and husband Cody of Glenville WV; 1 great grandchild, Caden Leady of Whispering Pines.
In addition to his wife and parents, Harold was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters making him the last of his immediate family.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday August 11, at the Glenville First Baptist Church with Rev. Kenny Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Rock Grove Cemetery, Rt 33 east of Glenville in the community of Linn.
