Twenty new hot-cold meal delivery trucks will be on the roads of West Virginia providing
meals to senior citizens in year three of funding to establish trucks throughout the state.
With
these additional trucks, seniors in all fifty-five counties will now have access to important
meal delivery services.
The trucks were purchased through grants from the West Virginia
Bureau of Senior Services as part of an ongoing effort to increase services to seniors in their
own homes and communities.
Governor Joe Manchin and Commissioner Sandra Vanin
presented the keys to these trucks to the county aging providers on August 5 at the State Capitol.
The hot-cold meal delivery trucks will be serving seniors in Berkeley,
Doddridge (Bi-County Nutrition), Boone, Brooke, Calhoun, Hampshire, Lewis, Mason, Monroe,
Ohio, Pendleton, Preston, Putnam, Kanawha, Randolph, Tucker, Tyler, Webster, Wirt and
Wyoming counties.
