The area's most elegant historical mansion is continuing to expand its services,
making the spacious home and expansive grounds available for public use. The
McIntosh Mansion is on the National Register, and pre-dates the great depression
with its grand style, architecture and roominess.
Hostess Sharon Stewart says many of the weekends are filled for the summer, but a
few slots are still available for reunions, weddings, business meetings and special
occasions. "We have nights available for overnighters, bed and breakfast style, for
people who just want to get away."
Bookings are available for graduation parties and anniversaries.
Stewart said the Mansion can handle some really big events too. "We have had huge
lawn parties under tents, and provided catering services for several hundred people,"
she said. "We can cater to the smallest group, too."
The Mansion will begin to focus on overnight stays and business meetings, one or
two day stays. "The rates for this type of facility are very reasonable," said Stewart.
