Eva G. Marks age 77 of Cedar Creek Rd, Cedarville, West Virginia, departed this life at 1:15 a.m., Sunday, July 18, 2010 in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, Weston following an extended illness.
She was born February 9, 1933 in Gilmer County, a daughter of the late Toral and Rita Wanstreet Lamb.
Eva was a homemaker, a graduate of Tanner High School in 1951, a member of Crooked Run Community Church and loved cooking and baking for her family.
On February 11, 1951 she was married to Charles E. Marks who preceded her in death March 7, 2006. Of this union 5 children survive, David E. Marks, Sullivan, OH; James P. Marks, Cedarville; Tomas Marks and wife Terri, Glenville, WV; Melissa Canfield and husband Howard, Sullivan, OH and Christina S. Marks and fiancée Larry, Sullivan, OH; 11 grandchildren survive, D. J. Marks (April), Glenville, Tomas C. Marks (Jacqui), stationed in Iraq, Nicole Marks, Nashville, TN, Darryll Marks, Brittany Marks, Kasie Marks, Autumn Phelps, Jesse Canfield, Kaleigh Canfield, Janel Canfield and Garrett Canfield all of Sullivan, Ohio; 1 brother survives, John A. Lamb of Beach City, Ohio.
Preceding Mrs. Marks in death was one daughter, Edna Marks, four brothers and 2 sisters, Ronnie, Garnold, Burl and Helbert Lamb and Elma Lamb and Gladys Peggs.
Funeral services were held Friday, July 23, 2010 at the Church of God of Prophecy at Sand Fork. Burial followed in the Pisgah Cemetery.
