Beulah Elliott Heffner, 90, of Big Springs, West Virginia, died Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at Hubbard House Hospice, Charleston, WV.
She was born July 29, 1919, a daughter, of the late Ira Newton and Leafy Kyer Elliott. She was a former employee of Mid-Atlantic Glass Co. and Harrisville Garment Co. She was a 1939 graduate of Harrisville High School and a member of Prosperity Baptist Church.
She is survived by son Roy Payton (JoAnne) of Leesville, SC; 2 stepsons, Larry (Loretta) Heffner of Lewisburg, WV and John Heffner of Parkersburg, WV; and a step-daughter, Martha Heffner of Panther, WV.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Cheryl and Michael Payton, James, Richard, Ann, Melissa, Stephanie, Joanna, Shaundra, Michael, Yvonne Barrett and Chris Bailey and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Claude Payton and her second husband, Chester Heffner; 4 sisters, Bessie Britton, Mary Tingler, Myrl McLauglin and Lucy Slaven.
Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. Interment will be in the Ellenboro Masonic Cemetery.
