Ninety-year-old Emma Deel of New Franklin, Ohio appeared in a community Memorial Day parade, according to family members, who say she does more than most of her grandkids.
Deel suffered from mobility problems last year and moved from her family homestead on Milo Road to be near family members in Ohio.
Long known as a ball-of-fire community member, she led an effort in 2004 to restore the historic Mike Fink Cemetery near her home.
Cards and letters can be sent to: Pebble Creek Senior Care, Room 105, 670 Jarvis Road, New Franklin OH 44319.
