Derrick Seth Camp of Spencer, West Virginia, left this world Sunday, July 4, 2010 at the age of 23. He was born August 20, 1986 in Spencer.
Derrick loved computers, games, chess and guns. He was a smart, funny and beautiful person that few people truly understood. He was a 2004 graduate of Roane County High School and earned an Associate Degree in Computer & Information Technology from WVU-P with 130+ hours toward his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Programming.
Derrick was preceded in death by his father, Michael Camp; grandfather, John Camp; and an uncle, Derrick Rod Camp.
He is survived by his mother, Tammy Camp White and stepfather, Ron White of Spencer; brothers, Brad Camp and his wife Casey, and Riley White, both of Spencer; grandparents, James and Lora Mae Justice of Amma WV and JoAnna Camp of Spencer; a nephew, Gavin Michael Camp; and niece, Addison Mae Camp; an uncle, Dana Camp and his wife Kim; and an aunt, Lisa Taylor.
Derrick;s request for a private funeral will be honored with a graveside service in the Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held Friday, July 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer.
