Gertrude May Wilson, 99, of Rt. 1, Malta, Ohio, passed away at 12:45 a.m. June 29 at the Riverside Country Care Center in McConnelsville.
She was born Nov. 9, 1910 in Shock, W.Va. to the late L.L. Miller and Effie Ryder Miller. She was a housewife and a member of the Wolf Creek Church of Christ.
She is survived by one daughter, Janice (James) McConkey of Malta; five sons, I. Bern (Lela) Wilson, Jay (Barbara) Wilson, Jerry (Azeal) Wilson, James (Linda) Wilson and Brooks (Carol) Wilson, all of Malta; 22 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Mike Miller of Parkersburg, W.Va.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan L. Wilson who died Feb. 12, 1992; one daughter, Eugie M. Mitchell; six brothers, Ray, Earl, Robert, Harper, Bernard, and Vernon Miller; grandchildren, Alan Wilson, Steven Wilson, Jerry Roberts II Wilson and Cathy Ann Wilson; one daughter-in-law, June Wilson.
Calling hours will be held from 5-9 p.m. Thursday at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home, in McConnelsville where services will be 2 p.m. Friday, with Harmon Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Malta. |
