FAIRMONT MAN MURDERED - John G. Cottingham, 22 of Fairmont
was found shot to death inside a Quarry Avenue residence early Saturday morning. He was not a resident at the address.
No arrests have been made and no additional information is being publicized at this time about the victim or the incident.
Fairmont Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
MAN STABBED IN PRESTON CO. BAR - A Greenbrier County man is behind bars for allegedly stabbing a man at a Preston County bar, early Saturday.
Police say Reynaldo Torres, 35, of Fairlea, stabbed Mark Appleby, 30, in the back, stomach and groin in a lounge at Bruceton Mills.
Torres fled the scene and was located by police about two hours later.
Police are saying they don't believe the two men knew each other.
Appleby is in good condition at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Torres is being held at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail on $100,000 bond.
HUNTINGTON SHOOTING - a man is in critical condition following a shooting in Huntington outside a house in the 1000 block of Euclid Place, Sunday night.
Huntington police say the victim is 39-year-old Walter Agee, Jr.
Agee was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital where he is in critical condition.
Police say there are four possible suspects, three men and a woman.
JUVENILE HAS HANDGUN - A St. Albans juvenile was found by police with a gun in his backpack, after he was discovered rummaging through cars, Sunday.
The 17-year-old boy allowed police to search his backpack, discovering clothing and a hand gun.
He will be charged through juvenile court with carrying a concealed weapon.
POLICE LOOKING FOR STABBING SUSPECT - Kanawha County sheriff's deputies are looking for a man they believe stabbed another man near St. Albans.
Police say James Willis, 42, of Lower Falls, was headed down to the beach near the falls to look for his son about 10:30 p.m. Sunday when he allegedly got into an argument with 34-year-old Robert Lee Davis IV of St. Albans.
The men were apparently arguing over a woman. During the argument, Willis was stabbed in the abdomen.
Willis was treated and released from CAMC General Hospital.
