| Elva Ethelene Spence age 69 of Kanawha Street, Glenville, West Virginia, departed this life at 8:40 a.m., Thursday, June 24, 2010 in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg, WV following an unexpected illness.
She was born December 22, 1940 in Nicholas County a daughter of Effie Goff Spence of Glenville and the late Gravely Spence.
Ethelene loved to paint, crochet, quilt and make jewelry. She was a Protestant by faith.
Besides her mother she is survived by 2 brothers, Dewell Spence and wife Debbie of Glenville and Delmas Spence and wife Nora Ann of Cox's Mill; one uncle and 3 aunts survive, Gilbert Goff and wife Betty of Silver Springs, MD; Hilda Walton of Mt. Nebo, WV; Betty Spence of Uniontown, OH and Pearl Spence of Summersville; 2 cousins, Wanda Vance of New Philadelphia, OH and Shelia Helwig of Doliver, OH and a host of other cousins survive.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 28 at the Camden Flats Baptist Church with Rev. Ronzel Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Lane Cemetery.
Friends may call at the church from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
