JACKIE DENMARK RELEASED ON $100,000 BOND - Denmark Family Facing Multiple Charges

(06/26/2010)
Jackie Lynn Denmark, 56, has been released from Central Regional Jail on a $100,000 bond, with a number of conditions stipulated by Judge David W. Nibert.

Denmark is one of three members of her family facing multiple charges related to alleged shootings and a kidnapping in Calhoun, according to a criminal complaint.

She is charged with aiding and abetting kidnapping, allegedly committed by her son Seth Denmark, 22, who remains in Central Regional Jail.

The kidnapping charge carries with it a potential life sentence.

Court records say Ms. Denmark was present at the Denmark property in Calhoun during the alleged murder of David Beach.

Authorities have yet to discover Beach's body.

Attorney Lee Benford, during a May hearing requesting bond, told Judge Nibert that Jackie Denmark had never been in trouble with the law, indicating she could be bonded and put on home confinement.

Prosecutors Shelly DeMarino and Josh Downey opposed the bond, saying, "There was probable cause for a serious offense, not a good case for home confinement."

Nibert heard witnesses and testimony from neighbors, friends and co-workers supporting Ms. Denmark's release on bond.

Prosecutors expressed concern Ms. Denmark possessed a passport, which has now been surrendered.

Nibert's order appeared to clear the prosecutor's concerns, placing her on electronic monitoring at the home of her daughter in Jackson County, and declaring she cannot reside in a residence with another person on home confinement.

Ms. Denmark's husband, William Denmark, 58, who has been charged with conspiracy to inflict bodily injury in the shooting of Aaron Lloyd in 2006, was bonded earlier, and is reportedly on home confinement at the family residence in Calhoun.
