A domestic dispute on Altizer Rd. between a male and female, Thursday night ended with a woman being injured.
The Calhoun Sheriffs Department and the State Police responded to what was reported as a domestic violence situation. The incident happened about two miles from Arnoldsburg shortly after 9 p.m.
Authorities were notified the man had a machete, with callers reporting he was intoxicated.
Calhoun EMS responded, taking the woman to MHHS.
A 911 report said the male subject was attempting to get the female subject into his vehicle, the female was reportedly able to get away and return to the residence, after which the male subject knocked the door in.
After police were summoned, the male subject left the scene with a 3-year-old child, according to the report, and reportedly went to the Newton area in Roane County.
Police from Calhoun and Roane Counties were looking for the subject late Thursday night.
