| Alta Essa "Rae" Swisher, age 88, of Macfarlan, West Virginia, died Wednesday, June 16, 2010, at Harrisville, WV.
She was born January 20, 1922, at Macfarlan, a daughter of the late Bert H. and Icy Belle (Collins) Swisher.
Essa was a homemaker and a member of the Macfarlan Community Church.
She is survived by one sister-in-law, Florence Swisher, Macfarlan, WV, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Argil Roger Swisher, Toney Raymond Swisher, Earnie Swisher, Russell Swisher, Basil Swisher, Charles Swisher, Troxel Swisher, Alfa Esther Swisher, Gladys Swisher and Oklyn Woodring, step-mother, Nancy (Lanham) Swisher.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 19 at the Macfarlan Community Church with the Rev. Charlene Spaur officiating. Burial was in the Swisher Cemetery, near Cisco.
