REMEMBER...
Luminaria lit during Relay for Life 2006
In honor of Rev. Harry Siers
May 16, 1937 - April 20, 2006
The Luminaria Ceremony is the soul of Relay For Life. At dusk we quietly remember those whose lives have been touched by cancer. In the soft glow of the candlelight, we reflect on the courage and strength of all who are affected by cancer.
You can help fight cancer and honor loved ones who have had cancer, by participating in the Luminaria ceremony at the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life of Calhoun County. The ceremony will
begin at dusk around (9:00 p.m.) on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Wayne Underwood Field in Grantsville. During the Luminaria ceremony, candles are placed in Luminaria bags, which are dedicated in Honor of a cancer survivor or in Memory of a loved one lost to cancer. New this year, you can show appreciation for a caregiver.
When lit, hundreds of luminaries brighten the way for Relay For Life walkers throughout the night.
Whether you participate in person or in spirit, here's your chance to support the American Cancer Society's fight against cancer. Keep the fires of HOPE burning by purchasing a Luminaria.
