Georgia Lenora Ayers, 66, of Davisville, W.Va., went home to be with her Lord on June 10, 2010, at her residence.
She was born on July 20, 1943, in Spencer, W.Va., a daughter of the late Leonard and Maxine Ruth Starcher Simmons.
Georgia retired from Nashua Photo as a Photo Printer and she had previously worked at Viscose and Kaiser Aluminum. She loved to read and was a member of the Kanawha United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir.
She is survived by two daughters, Stephanie "Penny" Stalnaker (Jeff) of Parkersburg, W.Va. and Sonjia Cline (Donald) of Sistersville, W.Va.; one son, Francis Ayers Jr. (Paula) of Davisville; five grandchildren, Jonathan Stalnaker, Brandon Ayers, Jesse and James and Joseph Cline; and her church family, whom she was very close to.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Francis Ayers; one daughter, Cynthia Ayers; and one sister, Carol Burroughs.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. on Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Pike St., south Parkersburg with Pastor Rod Blanchard officiating. Interment will follow at Starcher Cemetery in Calhoun County. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, and one hour prior to services on Monday at the funeral home.
