Arnoldsburg School's "Lights On!" program announces two adult classes scheduled to start during the week of 8 April:
Adventures in stitches - Six Tuesdays from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. This is a class in creative needle craft. It will
concentrate on embroidery and cover crazy quilting and appliqué techniques for students age 12 and up. After completing two
practice projects, each student will design and work on one original project. The $10 entrance fee will cover material for the
two practice projects, a stitch guide, and a resource list. Students must provide their own embroidery hoops, scissors, and the
material for their individual designed projects. Instructor Sarah Hotchkiss. A designer and needle-worker with 40 years
experience, who is willing and eager to help you develop both skill and creativity.
Conversational Spanish - Six Thursdays from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. (Your child can take an after school class at the same
time). The language will be introduced in real life contexts, such as greetings and introductions, ordering food in a restaurant,
telling time, health, shopping, etc. This will be a practical and challenging course for those who are interested in Spanish for fun
or travel.
