| Charles "Chuck" Propst, 67, of Oxford, Alabama, died May 28, 2010 following a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
He leaves behind his wife, Patricia Dempsey Propst; daughters, Michelle Das and Renee McDonald; stepdaughter, Jackie Abels; stepson, Allen Gregory, and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elhannon Winchester Propst and Nellie Coberly Propst; sisters, Eula Mae and Ella Marie Propst, and brothers, Joseph and Robert Propst all of West Virginia.
Originally from Grantsville Mr. Propst also lived in Vienna and graduated from Parkersburg High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and received his masters degree from West Virginia University. He made his home in Oxford Alabama following retirement from federal service with Gorgas Army Hospital in Panama.
A private burial will take place in Grantsville, WV. The family requests no flowers, but contributions may be made to veterans, hospice care or Alzheimer's groups.
Gray Brown-Service Mortuary, Anniston, Alabama is in charge of arrangements.
