| Betty Jane Jenkins, 57, of Big Bend, West Virginia, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday morning, May 25, 2010 at her home.
She was born July 7, 1952 in Ritchie County, WV, the third child of Harley Columbus Jones and Rhoda Blanche Richards Welch Jones.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening. She formerly attended Big Springs Community Church.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Jenkins; a daughter, Rebecca (Jeffrey) Fredrick; and an only grandson, Benjamin Columbus Fredrick; two step grandchildren, Mark and Brittany Fredrick all of Big Springs, WV and Stacy and Jason Harris; four step great grandchildren; a special friend, James (Bubby) Jones of Parkersburg, WV; a brother, Russell E. (Vicki) Jones of Big Springs; two sisters, Shirley Ann (Douglas) Taylor of Big Bend and Wanda Leona (Keith) Dye of Oaksboro, NC; three sisters-in-law, Carol Sue Jones of Cleveland, NC, Fumiko Welch of Grantsville and Lula Welch of Macon, GA; a brother-in-law, Thomas Richey of Hawkinsville, GA; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Leslie Ann; a brother, Darl Glen Jones; two half brothers, Donald Ray Welch and William Foster Welch; a half sister, Lois Carol Richey; and a niece, Deborah Sue Fowler.
Funeral services will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV on Friday, May 28 at 11 a.m. Rev. Rick Metheney will officiate. Interment will be in the Goodnight Cemetery, Big Bend.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
