| Mae Brannon, 76, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Thursday, May 20, 2010, in Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after an extended illness.
She was born Thelma Mae Brannon on January 1, 1934, at Tariff, Roane County, a daughter of the late Charles and Hazel Midcap Brannon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Pearl Brannon; a sister, Frances Lee; and a brother, Robert Brannon.
She was a homemaker, a member of Round Knob Church, and had sung in a gospel quartet.
Survivors include, two sisters, Josephine Ash of Barberton, Ohio, and Mary Lou Abbott of Georgia.
A funeral service will be conducted Sunday, May 23, at 2:30 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Randall L. "Randy" Whited officiating. Burial will be in the Swank Cemetery, Speed, WV.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
