Virginia I. Cross, 73, of Grantsville, died Saturday, March 30, 2002 at Minnie
Hamilton Health Care Center after an extended illness.
Born in 1928 in Grantsville, a daughter of the late Hansford and Stella Propst
Sears. She was a homemaker and attended the Bethlehem Baptist
Church.
She had been employed in Cleveland until 1970, and was a former employee
of B. F. Goodrich of Grantsville.
Surviving are sisters, Wanda L. Carpenter and Wilma G. Kerby of Grantsville;
Two aunts, Veda Morrison and Reva Smith of Parkersburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior B. Cross and a sister,
Joyce Ann Carpenter.
Funerals services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home
in Grantsville. Pastor William D. Johnson will officiate. Interment will be in
Bethlehem Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6
to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
