| Glenville, WV - Registrations are now being accepted for the 2010 Glenville State College Basketball Camps. Individual and team sessions are being offered for boys and girls ages kindergarten through twelfth grade.
Head Coach Bunky Harkleroad, who led the GSC Lady Pioneer Basketball team to a surprising 18-10 record while establishing several school, WVIAC, and NCAA Division II records, will be conducting the Camps. The staff will include GSC Assistant Coach Crystal Davis as well as college and high school coaches from the region and members of the GSC Lady Pioneer Basketball team.
The purposes of the camps are to help each player improve her skills as an individual and as a team player. Girls entering the 4th through 12th grade are eligible to attend the camp. The Lady Pioneer Individual Camp will be held Wednesday, June 9th through Saturday, June 12th. The GSC Lady Pioneer Team Camp will be conducted Monday, June 14th through Wednesday, June 16th.
The cost for either camp is $230 for overnight campers, $180 for day and evening campers, and $130 for day only campers. Additional family members attending will receive a $30 discount. The 2010 GSC Boys Basketball Camps will be directed by GSC Head Coach Stephen Dye. The camp staff will include Assistant Coach Kent McBride and current and former GSC players. The Individual Camp for boys ages 8 through 18, will take place Sunday, June 20th through Wednesday, June 23rd. The cost is $230 for overnight campers and $180 for day and evening campers. Additional family members attending will receive a $30 discount.
The Individual Camp will concentrate on developing each player's basketball fundamentals in a fun and enjoyable experience. The GSC Team Camp will be held Friday, June 25th through Sunday, June 27th. Cost of the Team Camp is $175 for overnight campers and $100 for commuters plus a $100 team fee. The GSC Little Pioneers Basketball Camp will be held Monday, June 28th through Thursday, July 1st. This camp is open to boys and girls entering kindergarten through those entering sixth grade. GSC Lady Pioneer Head Coach Bunky Harkleroad and GSC Men's Coach Stephen Dye will direct the camp. The camp staff will include dedicated and knowledgeable coaches and players from the GSC Basketball teams.
The camp will feature a fun environment that will allow each young player to improve his or her basketball skills and learn about important values such as teamwork, commitment, and sportsmanship. Cost of the Little Pioneers Basketball Camp is $130 per camper with a $30 discount for each additional family member.
