MAN SHOOTS HOME INVADER - A Huntington man was shot by a homeowner while attempting to break into a residence.
Houston E. McClung, 34, was shot in the side while he was allegedly trying to break into a home on Gill Street.
The homeowner, Michael Legg, shot McClung through the front door after McClung broke a section of glass in the door in an attempt to gain entrance, police said.
McClung was treated for a minor wound before being taken to jail.
He has since been released from the hospital and is charged with burglary, assault and destruction of property.
HUNTINGTON POLICE ARREST MEN AT GUN POINT - WSAZ-TV is reporting a fugitive from Lexington, Ky. was one of two men arrested in Thursday morning with police guns drawn.
Huntington is a city polluted with out-of-state drug traffic.
Officers stopped a car after following it from a location where the men had been staying.
They found $31,000 in cash.
Police say a passenger in that car, 30-year-old Deonta Jackson is a wanted fugitive out of Lexington, Ky. Jackson was carrying a false I.D card from New Jersey.
Jackson has an extensive criminal record out of Lexington that involves drugs, according to WSAZ-TV.
The driver of the car was released after questioning.
He is being held in the Western Regional Jail.
MASKED MAN HOLDS-UP MOTEL - Police are looking for a masked man who robbed a Dunbar motel.
Kanawha Metro 911 says it happened at the Travelodge.
The clerk told dispatchers the man said he had a gun but that a weapon was never shown. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
PIZZA HEIST - Giovanni's Pizza on Spring Street in Charleston was robbed by a man Wednesday night, according to Metro 911.
The man got away before police arrived.
Workers said he used a knife during the robbery.
STABBING MÃLÃE IN RAND - Two men attacked another inside his Rand home and stabbed him in the chest, police said.
They said the men were the husband and son of a woman who was staying at the house.
Deputies found Rock Hudson Williams holding a blood-soaked towel to his chest when they arrived.
He told police that Charles "Bo" Kenneth Woodson, 58, of Rand, and his son Kenneth Woodson forced their way into his house and attacked him with a knife.
Charles Woodson's wife was asleep in Williams' bed and was awakened by the noise and all four of them began fighting.
They all had some stab wounds.
Police found an 18-inch knife with blood on it.
Charles Woodson was arrested and charged with assault.
