Carlton and his daughter Mason
A former Grantsville man Carlton "Buck Weaver" will be 89 on May 27. Weaver now resides in Charleston, South Carolina.
Weaver, a man for all seasons, left Grantsville to illustriously serve in World War II, and went on to earn a college degree in engineering and become a long-time executive with Ashland Oil.
He has treasured his upbringing in Grantsville, sharing many of his memories.
Carlton and his daughter Mason, who was once a TV newscaster for WSAZ-TV, recently attended the Blue Angels Air Show aboard their boat with two hundred others, an event in the center of Charleston Harbor. He was a former military pilot.
Weaver said, "It was spectacular show."
