Grantsville resident Christopher Cabe Sims, 24, has been charged with
3rd offense
DUI, according to Gilmer County Deputy Sheriff Mike Stalnaker.
Stalnaker said Sims
was driving erratically on Walnut Street in Glenville when he was
spotted. He said he
failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.
Sims has two previous DUI convictions in 1996 and 2000, according to
police. He was
cited by Calhoun Deputy Sheriff Carl Ballengee for not having his
vehicle under control
on December 18, 2000, but Sims was not intoxicated.
The Sims truck went left of center on Mt. Zion Ridge striking a county
truck occupied
by Donzel Boothe, injuring him. (SEE Hur Herald archives 1/13/01)
