Edwin Thornton Dilley, 59, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Monday, April 26, 2010, in Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV.
He was born September 2, 1950, in Akron, Ohio, a son of the late Harry Thornton and and Georgia Mae Wolfe. He had worked in Spencer at Spencer Veneer, Burke-Parsons-Bowlby, Babcock Lumber, and the Vere Brannon service station in Arnoldsburg. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include a son, David Dilley of Chloe, WV; grandson, Michael Dilley, of Chloe; sisters, Rosalie Mace and Mandy Deel, both of Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Everett.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2010, at 2:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. John Lowe officiating. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer.
Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
