The Calhoun Board of Education has upheld a decision of Superintendent Roger Propst to terminate the contract of the county's Director of Supportive Services, Frank Tetrick.
Following a two-hour executive session, the board voted to affirm the termination.
Steve Whited moved and Larry Harris seconded to approve the Superintendent's recommendation to ratify the previously imposed suspension of Tetrick without pay and the termination of his contract of employment as of April 12, 2010.
The motion passed 3-1 with Lee Evans casting a no vote.
Board president Cynthia Dale recused herself from the action, indicating she was a witness in the proceeding.
The board did not give a reason for Tetrick's firing.
Attorney Mark McMillian
represented Tetrick in the hearing.
