Clay County has received $500,000 from the West Virginia School Building
Authority to upgrade heating, air conditioning and ventilation in school
buildings.
Roane County also received money for improvements.
Thirteen counties in all received $5 million total for improvements in
ventilation systems, repairs, new windows, flooring, fire alarms, a new
cafeteria and upgrades to be in compliance with several federal standards.
