Zach Moore became only the third Calhoun basketball player to make all state when he was named to the 2009-2010 Class A All-State team Tuesday.
Moore, a 6-3 senior, joined Tim Davis and Marcus Davis as the only Red Devils in the school's 85-year-history to make all-state in basketball. Tim Davis was a two-time all-state player while Marcus, his son, was named to the all-state team three times.
Moore, who averaged 17.7 a game to lead the team, was also named First Team All-LKC last week.
Justin Gerwig was named to the Second Team All-LKC while Kyle Keesler and Chuckie Kendall were named to the Third Team All-LKC.
Calhoun finished the 2009-2010 season with a 10-11 record after losing a hard-fought game to Class A State Champion Parkersburg Catholic in the regional tournament.
