Welcome back to Beason. I must advise you that the potholes will eat your car alive if you happen to travel this direction. I am hoping that a state appointed company and their friends from the North Central Regional Hotel will come and help us out.

I finally got new Internet service. The installation was a horrible experience. Let me set the scene for you. The installer shows up with his two kids (ages 3 and 5) and expects them to hang out in his truck or play outside. It is chilly and the rain is pouring down. He didn't bring them anything to do or anything to eat. So, not only did I let them come inside and play, I fed them lunch as well. There was no way I was going to let two small children go hungry and bored while their dad took four hours to install a dish. So, after they left, I felt it was my duty to call customer service and explain to them exactly how I felt about the situation. But, for some reason, the company kept transferring my calls and dropped my calls several times. I really hope the next person I speak to is ready to hear what I have to say. I guarantee that the person will be wishing he called off work that day.

T-Ball has begun and that means Avery has to spend two hours locating his equipment prior to practice. I thought I was bad about misplacing things. I am sure he has me beat now. At least he misplaces minor things. I misplace bills, credit cards, checks, everything. Someday, I am going to get organized.

How about this new health plan that has erupted? I am not pleased with it at all. I find it unreal Obama wants me to charge my clients 10% more and turn around and place it in someone else's pocket every month for petty cash. How fair is that? Most of my clients are hard working people. Why should I make them pay more so he can reward those who do absolutely nothing? I think those who live in the real world will understand what I mean.

I am a little concerned about what's going on with the [Ritchie County] Middle/High School. I've heard about some things I would consider violent behavior. I'm just wondering how safe is it to send my kid to school? Who's paying attention to the kids that are known for bad behavior? I guarantee that if something happens to my child, I will be at that school faster than the speed of light. I also wonder why kids are being allowed to sit around and do very little in class. I've heard such excuses as "the sub couldn't find any lesson plans." Well, my kid is going to college in five years. I am concerned that he will not be properly prepared. I would like to see some serious improvements being made soon.

After all that being said, I hope everyone has had a better week than I. I also hope the following week will bring us nice weather and better situations.

Peace.
