Gilmer County's Ellyson Mortuary burned to the ground early Saturday morning. The first report of the blaze was about 2 a.m.
The mortuary is located in Glenville on Rt. 5.
The WV Fire Marshal is on scene, with the cause of the fire unknown at this time.
The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) and a Hazmat team
is expected to arrive on the scene because of chemicals used in the mortuary.
The Gilmer County Volunteer Fire Department and the Burnsville Volunteer Fire Department responded to the call.
