Three members of a Beech, Calhoun County family are incarcerated on various charges connected to incidents related to a shooting and the investigation of missing Roane County youth David Wayne Beach.
Beach left his mother's residence in Spencer about four years ago, never to been seen again.
State Police arrested William Albert "Seth" Denmark, 22, yesterday at the Anthony Center, charging him with one count of kidnapping, a felony. He is being held in Southern Regional Jail.
Authorities said Seth Denmark had been a friend of Beach before his disappearance.
Young Denmark's parents were arrested over the weekend, and are currently in Central Regional Jail.
William Anthony Denmark, 58, has been charged with conspiracy to inflict bodily injury, and his wife, Jackie Lynn Denmark, 56, is charged with aiding and abetting kidnapping.
The aiding and abetting charges against Seth Denmark's mother, Jackie Lynn Denmark, stemmed after a visit by Roane County Sheriff's deputies in 2006. Mrs. Denmark, according to the complaint, denied any knowledge about David Wayne Beach.
The investigation picked up steam in January, 2010, according to the criminal complaint, indicating "several persons came forth with information of having heard Seth Denmark making comments about knowing the whereabouts of David Wayne Beach."
Police took a statement in February from a female acquaintance of Seth Denmark, who said that she and Denmark picked up Beach along Main St. in Spencer and drove him to the Denmark's Calhoun farm, according to the complaint.
The complaint says that, "Seth Denmark asked for...Beach's assistance in digging a large hole."
"After the hole was dug, the defendant (Jackie Lynn Denmark) photographed (both subjects) as they sprayed mud off each other."
"Seth Denmark and David Wayne Beach got on a 4-wheeler and rode on the hill," the complaint says, after which Seth Denmark returned to the house alone.
The complaint says that Seth Denmark then
asked his female friend for assistance, "demanded by a pistol..," telling her to bring a flashlight, the complaint stating that Denmark's mother objected to her son's request for help from the female.
The female "went with Seth Denmark...having been afraid for her life."
The couple then rode to the alleged grave site, and she "was threatened with her life and held at gunpoint."
The female friend "then witnessed David Wayne beach lying in a hole."
"Seth Denmark then ordered [female friend] to hold the flashlight while he covered the body...," says the complaint.
The complaint says that all information obtained from the female subject "was validated by evidence found at the Denmark residence," although the body is yet to be located.
The complaint concludes that Mrs. Denmark "knows the location of David Wayne Beach."
Sgt. O. S. Starsick of the Grantsville Detachment said that the search of the William Denmark farm on February 23rd was related to Beach, missing from his Spencer residence since 2006. Beach, a former resident of Grantsville, would now be 21-years-old.
"We were searching for clues or indications the missing person may have been at that property," Starsick told the Times Record-Roane County Reporter, saying "Nothing concrete was found."
Starsick said Beach had been to the Denmark property several times.
The conspiracy to inflict bodily injury charges against William A. Denmark, according to the criminal complaint, are related to the shooting of Jesse's Run resident Aaron Lloyd in April, 2006.
The complaint indicates that Lloyd was shot in the leg by Seth Denmark, allegedly accompanied by David Beach.
The complaint says that "planning was carried out by the defendant (William A. Denmark), Seth Denmark and David Wayne Beach."
The Denmark farm is about two miles off US 33-119 (Liberty Hill) on Beech Rd., a short distance from Arnoldsburg.
Seth Denmark was sentenced earlier on child concealment charges brought against him in Calhoun involving three juvenile girls.
