Welcome back to Beason. We are so glad to see you.

How about those warmer temperatures? What a pleasant change! I sure enjoyed riding around with the windows down and the music cranked up. I am totally burned out on snow and any other thing related to cold weather. As much as I liked snowboarding and sledding with my kids, I am ready for it to be over until next year.

My brother and his family were up from Statesville, NC. Along with them, they brought some good ol' NC barbecue. I make some great barbecue, but nothing compares with the magical North Carolina touch to it. I think that it runs through the genes of all the barbecue makers of NC. It's the best heartburn money can buy! My nephew got to come up with them. He is a member of the Coast Guard and rarely gets time to get together with the family.

We all hung out; played some ball, had some good food and my brother showed me a couple things on the guitar. Look out Bonnie Raitt! I'll be ready to roll in about 10 years from now. He and my nephew have been playing for years and have even been showcased in a few coffee houses and other various places in NC. I had always wanted to play but time and patience has always been a problem.

We need to wish Ms. Dinah Richards a speedy recovery. She suffered a mild stroke a couple weeks ago. But, I know Dinah will not be down for long. Please let us know if you need anything.

Please mark your calendars for the Longaberger Basket Bingo on Friday, March 19, 2010. Any profits made will be used to support our county wrestlers. So, come out and show your Rebel spirit for our athletes! Tickets are available from me or any mat club members. Please feel free to contact me for further information.

Also, we need to keep Charlie and Mandee Richards and family of Calhoun County in our thoughts and prayers. Fire destroyed their home and they lost everything. So, any donations of any kind would be greatly appreciated. There are a few activities coming up in Calhoun to help them through this tragic time. If you are interested in making a donation or attending any of the activities, please contact me and I will give you any information that I have.

Have you been to the new library in Harrisville? It's very nice, quite a difference from the previous one. The increase in the amount of computers has improved the library experience. I really hated waiting for one to use especially if I am behind on any of my projects. Unfortunately, that is the case more often than not.

Avery is anxiously awaiting his birthday party on Saturday. He has been chomping at the bit for some time. I don't know if I am quite as excited. I would say probably not. I can't believe he will be 8 years old! Time has really flown by. I'm not sure, but, I think that makes me older as well.

Health and happiness for the upcoming week.
