A former Beech, Calhoun County native has died at age 104.
Joe Wilson of Spencer died March 1st in Roane General Hospital.
Wilson was born on Beech in 1906, the son of Hezekiah (born 1851) and Sarah Parsons (born 1862) Wilson, the family lived in the area before 1900, bearing a large family.
A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 6 at in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Daniel R. "Danny" Whited officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Cemetery, Clover.
Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
