The 33rd Annual West Virginia Junior State Championships will be held at Parkersburg High School Saturday and Sunday, March 6 and 7.
Jacob, Clay, and Ethan Tanner, sons of Kevin and Deanna Tanner of Millwood, received seeding placement in the tournament. Ethan (a previous Junior State Champion is seeded #1 in the 5 and 6 year old, 38 lb. class. Jacob is seeded at #3 in the 9-10, 54 lb. group. Clay received the #8 seed in the 7-8, 56 lb. division.
Preliminary bouts begin Saturday with Consolation and Championship finals on Sunday. Wrestling is set to start at 10 a.m. both days.
Grandparents are John and Sharon Stump of Grantsville and Albert and Frances Tanner of Arnoldsburg.
