| Funeral services are scheduled for Spencer resident R. Alan Brant, 60, who died in a two-vehicle collision Friday on US 119 near Spencer.
Brant was the assistant director of WorkForce West Virginia, a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the Word of Faith Fellowship, president of Tri-County Partnership and a member of the Roane County Solid Waste Authority.
He was an Eagle Scout and an active volunteer in local scout activities.
Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home in Spencer, with Pastor Geoff Wayne and Rev. Kay Lowther officiating. Visitation will commence at 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Military honors will be accorded by members of the American Legion, V.F.W., D.A.V. and Order of the Purple Heart.
