THREE SHOT IN HUNTINGTON BAR - Three people were shot early Saturday morning in a Huntington nightclub.
Two men and one woman were shot on the dance floor inside Club Venom at 2:40 a.m.
All were shot in the lower extremities.
Police said none of the victims are from Huntington.
They say someone pulled a handgun and fired into the crowd on the club's dance floor.
MASON MAN SHOT IN DOMESTIC DISPUTE - The WV State Police shot and killed an armed man following a hostage situation in Mason County, Thursday.
Police said Troy McQueen was holding his estranged wife, Rebecca McQueen, hostage in a home.
He then moved his estranged wife to a car, continuing to hold her captive.
State Police and Mason County Deputies set up a staging area near the residence.
Rebecca McQueen then drove the car to the staging area, and a gunshot went off inside the car.
McQueen shot his estranged wife in her lower abdomen, through the groin.
Officers commanded McQueen to surrender, but he refused to drop his weapon.
A trooper fired four shots, one of which killed McQueen, according to the State Police.
Rebecca McQueen was still conscious and talking when officers pulled her from the car. She was flown to a Huntington hospital. |
