Mildred L. Drake, 89, of Parkersburg died March 16, 2002,
in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born February 12, 1913, at Osborne Mill, a daughter of the late O.H. and
Mary I. Taylor Reed. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James
Frankilin Drake; four brothers, Ray Taylor, Glen Forrest, Clark Woodrow and
Byron Wilson Reed.
She was a retired unit clerk from Camden-Clark Hospital, was a 60-year member
of Order of the Eastern Star Wetzel Chapter 27 and the Rebekah Lodge,
Newton, WV. She was a loving mother and a homemaker.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Jaqueline and Thomas Clepper of
Leesburg, Florida, Patsy Flensborg of Vienna, WV, Helen and Edward Perrow of
Liburn, Georgia; sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond and Beth Drake of
Washington, WV, Foster and Mary Louise Drake of Anderson, South Carolina, Harlan
Drake of Spencer, WV, Wendell and Pat Drake of St. Albans, WV, David
Drake of San Antonio, Texas, Ernest and Joyce Drake of Mineral Wells, WV;
19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Howard
Dale and Garnet Reed of Pikeville, Kentucky, Harry and Mildred Reed of Meta, Kentucky;
sister, Willa Burke of Pikeville.
Service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home,
Green Street, Parkersburg, with the Rev. Joe Kenaston officiating. Burial will
follow in Clover Cemetery, Roane County, at 2 p.m.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and prior to service on Tuesday. |
