Clay "Buddy" Vaden Miller, III, 73, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away Friday, February 12, 2010.
He was born November 23, 1936, in Spencer, a son of the late Clay V. Miller, II, and Rose Lupton Miller. He was a 1954 graduate of Spencer High School and was retired after 48 years with Casto & Harris, Inc., Spencer, where he was co-owner. He was also an Air Force veteran and was a member of the Thunderbird Club.
Clay was the husband of his loving wife of 48 years, Zola Atkins Miller; devoted father of three daughters: Kelly and her husband, Don McMillan, of Spencer; Anne and her husband, Chris Christopher, of Morgantown WV; and Jan and her husband, Dennis Wencel, of Naperville, IL; caring grandfather of four grandchildren, Kristin and her husband David Boone; Kevin and Katelyn McMillan, and Zoe Christopher; brother of Elizabeth "Betty" Morton and her husband Bill, of Bridgeport, WV; stepson of Jacqueline "Jackie" Miller of Spencer; and uncle of several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 16, 2010, at 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Spencer with the Rev. Michael F. "Mike" King officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
