Caught by the camera yesterday, former Calhoun High graduate Kevin Cunningham
and two friends. Kevin was home for the weekend with his folks at Mt. Zion from
Berea College, where is completing his first year.
Kevin and Jesse Morrison of Glade Valley, North Carolina and Casey Babb of Broadus,
Montana were "hanging out" at The Country Store at Mt. Zion. They talked briefly
about Berea College, often recognized as one of the great, innovative liberal arts
schools of the south, whose mission is "learning, labor and service."
Casey said Calhoun County is highly populated compared to his Montana county
which has 2000 residents. He aspires to become a vet. Jesse, who comes from a very
rural area in western North Carolina near Sparta, is giving college a try. Kevin has
always wanted to work around wildlife management and nature, close to his
mountain roots.
