| Lawrence James Ellison, age 61 of Chloe West Virginia, departed this life at 10:55 p.m. February 9, 2010 at the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital, following an extended illness.
Born December 5, 1948 in Alliance, Ohio, he was a son of the late Jack and Audra Moss Ellison.
Lawrence cut trees in the timber business, he loved hunting, fishing, the outdoors, spending time with grandkids and he was a Baptist by faith.
Surviving are 3 sons and 3 daughters, Stacy Ray Ellison and wife Sharon, Freddie Wayne Ellison, Jason Wade Ellison and wife Amy, Sonya Maria Ellison and husband Jay Settlemire, all of Ohio, Amanda Dawn Ellison and husband Bobby Duffield of WV, and Amy Dawn Ellison of Germany; 20 grandchildren; and 5 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Larry Ellison of Beech Bottom WV; and 1 sister, Loretta Ellison of Cox's Mill, WV.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 1 brother, Leonard Ellison; 2 infant sisters and 1 infant brother.
At the request of Lawrence his remains have been cremated and a memorial service will be set at a later date.
