John David Perrin, 82, of Cox's Mill West Virginia, (Newberne Community) departed this life at 1:39 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 at his residence following a short illness.
He was born December 3, 1927 in Berea WV, a son of the late Roscoe I. and Hazel Goff Perrin.
Mr. Perrin was a graduate of Harrisville High School, a farmer, pipeline bulldozer operator, Fur Trader, avid WVU basketball fan, and Navy veteran.
He was united in marriage to Elaine Frymier who survives at their Newberne residence, on June 4, 1949; also surviving are, 1 daughter, Karen Adams and her husband Jim of New Concord, Ohio; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Margaret Sprague of New York and Christine Mossor of Harrisville, WV; numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by 1 son, Robert "Cowboy Bob" Perrin; and 1 brother Roscoe Perrin Jr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2010 at the Ellyson Mortuary Inc. with Rev. Bill Hunt officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery Berea, WV.
Friends may call from 12-2 p.m. the day of the funeral. Flowers are appreciated but the family request memorial contributions be made to the Hospice Care, P. O. Box 323, Burnsville WV 26335.
