Rusty T. Sampson, age 40 of Orrville, Ohio, formerly of Massillon, Ohio died suddenly Saturday, March 9, 2002 at Massillon Community Hospital.
He was born June 18, 1961, at Orma, WV and lived in Massillon most of his life. He had worked at Bender's Asphalt in Canal Fulton and as a carpenter. He attended Restoration Ministries Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing and raising animals, he loved motorcycles.
Mr. Sampson is survived by his wife, Sandra Salapack Sampson of Orrville; his mother, Margaret Sampson McClain of Massillon; one daughter, Sadie Sampson and a step-daughter, Siarra Goodson both at home; two sisters and brothers in law, Jayme and Mark Jenkins of Massillon and Jeannie McClain and Joseph Hudanic of Green; two aunts, Jean Sampson of Massillon and Carol Varner of Oberlin; four nieces, five step-nieces, six step-nephews, several cousins and numerous friends.
Local services will be held Friday, March 15 at 1 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Burial will be in the Fleming Cemetery at Orma. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers a memorial contribution may be made to his daughter, Sadie Sampson, C/O any First Merit Bank.
