| Hazel Avadine Jarvis Fluharty, 94, of Parkersburg, passed away Jan. 20, 2010, in Marietta.
She was born in Calhoun County, a daughter of the late Matt and Maude Meadows Jarvis.
She was of the Methodist faith and was a homemaker.
Surviving are nephews, Robert Reeder of Vienna and David Riel of Parkersburg; nieces, Patricia Wolfe and Donna Jarvis of Parkersburg; great-nephew, Shane Martin in Georgia; great-nieces, Chrystal Nestor of Parkersburg, Tara McFarland of Walker, Angel Piggott and Debbie Bailey of Parkersburg, Cynthia Perdue of Charleston, Carolyn Dye and Marilyn Dye of Akron.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Fluharty; brothers, Don, Rex and Hartzell Jarvis; and sisters, Macel Riel and Chloe Dye and niece, Shirley Fallon.
The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. There will be no visitation or funeral service. Her body will be cremated and her ashes intered at a later date.
Kimes Funeral Home & Cremation Services is assisting the family with the cremation.
